Congratulations on being a new drone pilot! We all understand the excitement of getting a new drone. But don’t rush into flying just yet! It’s relatively straightforward to take off, but do you know every button’s function or have a good understanding of how your drone reacts to the remote controller? Before you head out and get it in the air, you should know your drone well. As it’s the best way to prevent crashes and flyaways. Furthermore, it’s being responsible for the safety of yourself, others, and your drone. Operating a drone can sometimes be tricky. So to avoid any silly missteps, it’s essential to read the product’s manual and get familiar with DJI’s GO apps and pay close attention to preflight preparations. After you understand your drone’s capabilities and limitations choose a safe test flight zone and practice some basic maneuvers before you take the leash off. Additionally, remember to take advantage of free online resources. You can find all you need to know and do before your maiden flight on the DJI Support and DJI Tutorials YouTube channels. Finally, if any problem occurs, you can always contact DJI Support on Facebook or Twitter for help. Here, we’ve summarized 15 tips to help first-time drone pilots prepare for their air adventures.

This document discusses the creation and maintenance of "Summary Tables". It is a companion to the document on Data Warehousing Techniques. The basic terminology ("Fact Table", "Normalization", etc) is covered in that document. Summary tables are a performance necessity for large tables. MariaDB and MySQL do not provide any automated way to create such, so I am providing techniques here. (Other vendors provide something similar with "materialized views".) When you have millions or billions of rows, it takes a long time to summarize the data to present counts, totals, averages, etc, in a size that is readily digestible by humans. By computing and saving subtotals as the data comes in, one can make "reports" run much faster. (I have seen 10x to 1000x speedups.) The subtotals go into a "summary table". This document guides you on efficiency in both creating and using such tables.

CoinMarketCap reports on the trading activities of thousands of markets but does not directly sell any cryptocurrency. The best way to find where to buy is by looking on the markets section for the cryptocurrency. For example, to find where to buy Bitcoin, you can look at the markets section for Bitcoin. Market Capitalization is one way to rank the relative size of a cryptocurrency. It's calculated by multiplying the Price by the Circulating Supply.

Alice Phoebe Lou's fiercely independent approach to her music has given the singer songwriter a creative confidence that shines through in her captivating vocals and stripped back music. Having developed her bluesy, folk sound busking on the streets of Berlin, Alice has caught the ears of a community of music lovers the world over with her honest storytelling and raw, beautiful voice. Alice grew up on a mountainside in South Africa listening to her parent's records and indulging her love of theatre, arts and music at a local Waldorf school; a formative time that nurtured her independence and desire to experience music of all styles. This multi-faceted creative upbringing mixed with Alice's natural wanderlust and in 2010, 16-year-old Alice made her first journey to Europe during her summer break from school. Inspired by watching fire dancers in Paris, she began to perform likewise to get enough money to fund her travelling.

A very useful, brief and summarizing lookup website. Data compression has been extremely useful to us over the years. Whether its a zip file containing images to be sent in a mail or a compressed data backup stored on a server, we use data compression to save valuable hard drive space or to make the downloading of files easier. There are compression formats out there which allow us to sometimes compress our data by 60% or more. I’ll run you through using some of these formats to compress and decompress files and directories on a Linux machine. We’ll cover the basic usage of zip, tar, tar.gz and the tar.bz2 formats. These are some of the most popular formats for compression used on Linux machines.

Here's a summary on how to create a shared and a static library with gcc. The goal is to show the basic steps. I do not want to go into the hairy details. It should be possible to use this page as a reference.

I am a graduate student at MIT, advised by Dr. Polina Golland. My main research work is on algorithm development in medical imaging analysis. I've also been very fortunate to work in Bioinformatics with professor Michael Brudno at UofT and in geophysics with professor Jerry Mitrovica at UofT. My wife is also at MIT, and you'd surely be enriched by visiting her webpage (I mean, come on, how many bio students have a webpage anyway?).

Coral reefs (1842) was Darwin’s first monograph. It addressed an immensely ambitious subject. It is perhaps second only to the Origin for its masterful deduction from observation, leading to the construction of a theory that if proved would exceed all previous attempts and virtually solve its subject. The power of Darwin’s monograph was well recognised by his contemporaries as a major scientific work. It was for this book and his monographs on barnacles that Darwin was awarded the Copley Medal by The Royal Society in 1864.

We all have different habits, good and bad, in the way that we learn. For example, you may find yourself copying things out when reading rather than summarising and writing notes in your own words. We also have different preferences for the ways that we learn best. For example, some people find it much easier to understand a concept if they discuss it, whilst others find it easier to understand if they are able to see a diagram that explains the concept. Understanding your learning approaches and preferences is very important if you are going to help yourself to learn better.

A TextArc is a visual represention of a text—the entire text (twice!) on a single page. A funny combination of an index, concordance, and summary; it uses the viewer's eye to help uncover meaning. Here are more detailed overviews of the interactive work and the prints.
